Play With Me was in my top ten list of songs I wanted for Rocksmith. Gonna happily scratch that one off. And yeah, I’m totally an 80s fan. Can’t wait to see what other two songs come out.

I am not really excited about Play With Me. Waaaaay beyond my playing skills. LOL It will fun to learn. For the other two, need some Huey Lewis and more Billy Squire, Poison, Bon Jovi or…. there is just many to list. UUGGGH!!! Cant wait til Tuesday for the reveal.

Just out of curiosity, did you happen to watch the above video of Extreme playing Play With Me? Its extremely intricate; it looks harder than both Disturbed and Black Label Society. You may be surprised by it. I certainly was.

One confirmed song is indeed by Judas Priest, if what I have just seen from the official Rocksmith page is anything to go by (the picture was clearly the album cover for “Screaming for Vengeance”, from which existing DLC song “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’” came…)

Finally we get some REAL Extreme, none of that More Than Words garbage. Nuno at his finest, while i’d personally like a 3-pack (more specifically Mutha (I Don’t Wanna Go To School Today), Get the Funk Out, and He-Man Woman Hater) this is definatly one i’ll pick up.
If we have to have Extreme, I’ll take TRRs wishlist 3-pack as presented!!!

Was waiting for your “Setlist Sunday: Guitar Hero Rock the 80’s” article to comment that we definitely missed “Play With Me”. Well…
With any luck, these songs don’t necessarily have to be straight from the bands that did them because I think the covers for Cars by Fear Factory and Orgy’s Blue Monday would be solid additions to the library.
Fear Factory, yes please. Any track but Cars however. That was an abomination that should never have been released on the Obsolete Digipack. A prime example of record company cash grab.
Here’s a brilliant concept album, where everything fits the narrative perfectly – but it isn’t selling as well as we want (at the time, already out selling previous FF albums) so lets add a crappy, radio friendly cover and release it against the bands wishes.
And don’t get even get me STARTED on Digimortal!!
Play With Me is gonna freaking shred. Anything that Nuno Bettencourt does is just epic.
