Speculation: Rocksmith Newsletter hints at November 2019 DLC

Hello Rocksmith fans!

We got the newsletter, and with it comes three out of three hints for what awaits us this month for Rocksmith Remastered DLC!

Let’s see what UbiVertigo and @UbisoftStudioSF are hinting at for November, shall we?

Rocksmith gets very local

Alright, let’s go for the songs that have San Francisco in the name!

A band from LA making a song about San Fran (2010s Mix VI?)

A fairly obvious choice… (60s Mix IV)

Victory for @CrossieRS?

Hey this band is from SF

So is this one

and this one

Fair is fair…

(Because we live here)

So this could be a lyrical reference or it could be hinting at where a majority of the Rocksmith team actually live…

or…

A song pack/single from a @DanAmrich favourite?

Wait a second, they are also from San Francisco!

?

someone is the right kind of wrong

Radiohead IV?

Conflicted?

I’d expect Bad Girlfriend levels of censorship

??‍♂️

  1. Here’s a couple of additions from SFO. Before there was Journey, there was SANTANA (please have Taboo or In A Silent Way in the mix). While both are from SFO, so are Huey Lewis and The News, and Sammy Hagar.

Keeping it in the Bay Area, there is Tony Toni Tone, Too Short (The Ghetto), and it’s about time for the man who introduced slap bass to the world, Larry Graham. How about some Sly and the Family Stone?

Here’s another interesting mix. John Lee Hooker use to live in Los Altos (not far from SFO). So a good mix would be Chill Out (Thing Gonna Change) John Lee Hooker featuring Santana. (Best of Both Worlds there.) <–hope someone saw what I did there.

Spreading it out statewide, yeah it's about time for something produced by Dr. Dre. Also, to change things up a bit, how about WAR!. Also, we're still missing some serious input from RHCP.

As far as the "right kind of wrong" the first thing that comes to mind is that old R&B song, If loving you is wrong I don't wanna be right. Had to look that one up. Luther Ingram. I believe that song influence the lyrics in that K-Ci and Mary J duet back in the 90s. (yes, my tastes run wide.)

Last note: For California Love, I've always preferred the remix. The bassline would be more fun as well.

            1. Not hatin’ or trying to Point the Finga. When I look at the vast majority of Rocksmith DLC I feel like “all around the world Same Song.” I Got My Mind Made Up that there’s some good hip hop that would fit nicely in the game. So Against All Odds I toss out an occasional Hail Mary.

  2. I’d like to see Third Eye Blind come back for pack 2, they are a San Fran band! Deep Inside and Graduate would be my picks!

  3. I’ll take any Faith No More or Mr. Bungle for sure. At the very least FNM deserve a 2nd pack. Surprise! You’re Dead, Land of Sunshine, & Ashes to Ashes would make a great 3-pack.
