Speculation: Rocksmith Newsletter Hints at August DLC

Welcome to August!

It’s that time of month again when we get a new newsletter containing hints for this month’s upcoming DLC! Let’s see what @DanAmrich and @UbisoftStudioSF are hinting at…

Let’s hop a train to Clarksville

Ok, well that song is confirmed!

Ready for a summer vacation?

Or more likely…

You know what else you could call a Vacation right??

By way of Chicago

Or whatever Chicago song you’d prefer

Wilco is from Chicago

So is Ministry

Before heading to Australia

Maybe an AU themed pack?

Do you agree with our guesses? Does this make you excited for August? Let us know!

  1. “The Night Chicago Died” by Paper Lace! I couldn’t be more excited! Just kidding; that would be awful.

  2. I really like the speculation in the comments/forums about “Ready for a summer vacation?” relating to “Holiday in Cambodia” by Dead Kennedys

  3. I’m probably the only person who wouldn’t buy AC/DC, so I’m hoping the Australian clue refers to Karnivool, The Church, more Silverchair, more Wolfmother, or Nick Cave.

For the Chicago clue, I’d be good with Smashing Pumpkins, Veruca Salt, Russian Circles, Wilco, or Ministry.

  4. I’m a bit excited about the Australia hint, it could be a lot of great options
AC/DC, INXS, Silverchair, Midnight Oil, Crowded House, Powderfinger, Screaming Jets, The Living End, Temper Trap, etc

It could just be an Australian Rock pack, but I hope that it will just be one of the bands as it will increase the chances of the others showing up later.

  5. Midnight oil would be a great addition. Sure AC/DC would be huge but then there is reality. Rocksmith has been around almost 6 years so every year gone by probably means smaller chance of huge bands

  6. The bar for the last DLC has been set very high and I’m probably setting myself up to be dissapointed but I will take anything on there!

  7. In Austrália, how about an super pack of AC/DC? I’m still waiting their debut into the game.

  8. A third DLC of Green Day with Holiday, Boulevard Of Broken Dreams and When I Come Around (among others) I would love.

  9. How about Arctic Monkeys and some songs before they big live in Australia at Big Day Out. They weren’t in this place before ;v

  10. Hmm Chicago. I’m a big fan of the Wolf, but it just doesn’t feel right that we have Chester Arthur Bernett and the Rolling Stones, but no McKinley Morganfield. I hope that trip through Chi-Town is to pick up some Mud. If nothing else, can we at least knock on the door and see if Willie Dixon is home?

  11. Hell yeah! Men at Work, the Go Go’s, The Monkees, Inxs “Devil inside”. Chicago “Look Away” ROCK ON
