Speculation: Rocksmith Newsletter hints at November DLC

Hello Rocksmith fans!

Hope you aren’t feeling too sick from all that Halloween candy because it’s time for November!

This month’s clue from @DanAmrich and @UbisoftStudioSF has arrived, let’s take a look!

a guy named Bob

Oh, I know this one!

That confirms Bob for next week’s NOFX Song Pack!

Some overdue female empowerment

There’s a few thoughts for this one… Is it an artist pack? Is it one of the singles of Variety Pack XIII? Or another Female Lead Singles? Hmmm…

I personally think it’s this one (90s Mix IV?)

Or could it be a Joan Jett Song Pack?

Or another awesome lady rocker?

Probably a stretch…

Music to get you into the holiday spirit

Well I know what you all want it to be…

@OsagaTheGreat is hoping for this

Not gonna lie, I want this song in the game a lot ?

One song reveal, two mysteries, and an unaccounted week! What are you hoping November brings?

Only Seven DLC weeks left in 2017!

  1. Was curious and just happened to do a search for songs that are attached to female empowerment. There are so great songs out there; however, for the love of God, please do not have our DLC include Let It Go-Idina Menzel.

  2. Only 7 more to go. I’m still hoping for Maiden pack 2, Scorpions and a mega Ozzy/Black Sabbath pack (like 20 songs mega pack)

  3. I’ve been patiently awaiting the arrival of The Dixie Chicks and Bonnie Raitt. Got a feeling that will be a long wait though. I would love to see more No Doubt, and while Heart has many hits, I feel like Magic Man is the one that we’re missing most.

A few of us have mentioned Pat Benatar over the past few months. Maybe we’ve all got that feeling. Additionally, there are a few possible one-offs(Black Cat–J Jackson, Free Your Mind-En Vogue [got to get Funkadelic somehow], Forever Always–Monica).

I’d love to see Koko Taylor added, or maybe Janis Joplin, Etta James, or Willie Mae Thornton.

Above all, there are two songs that I think should be in EVERY game, book, or CD that teaches you how to play music on guitar. #1 Johnny B. Goode – Chuck Berry (with honorable mention going to Peter Tosh as his version is good too.) 2# I Love Rock N Rock – Joan Jett. In a perfect world those two songs should have been THE FIRST DLC for Rocksmith.

Side note: My kids asked what holiday music is on Rocksmith. I told them, it doesn’t matter, since we don’t have Hall N’ Oats version of Jingle bell Rock. Good call on that choice Elliot. Need Chuck’s Run Run Rudolph as well.

        1. Aw that sucks. (In best whiny voice–>) Why do they get to have all the fun?

First they get Van Halen. Now they have Chuck Berry. What’s next….Prince? If they get Maggot Brain, I’m gonna be tempted to smash a guitar.

(….hmm need to find a cheap plastic guitar that won’t rob me of my DLC allowance when I smash it.)

  4. For the female empowerment clue, “You Outta Know” would fit pretty well. But there are so many amazing female musicians I would love to see get packs: Sleater-Kinney, Veruca Salt, St. Vincent, Pat Benatar, Orianthi, Screaming Females, Cherri Bomb, L7, Liz Phair, Tegan and Sara, Courtney Barnett, Juliana Hatfield, and so many more. I’m excited to see where this goes. Who knows, maybe we’re getting Taylor Swift.

As far as the holiday music is concerned, I have a feeling we’ll be seeing a Bachsmith-style pack of holiday music from The Notetrackers. I know a lot of people would be happy with ELO though.

  5. It has to be Alanis Morisette for female empowerment .I mean we have to finish off the bandfuse song list it wouldn’t be right

    1. Omg, good call! “You oughta know” is long overdue and I would very much like to play it without having to pull out BandFuse. Lol

  6. Janis Joplin’s overdue so how about “Take another piece of my heart” (“I love Rock n Roll” and “Magic Man” are both overdue also) and if there’s a missing week how about some Red Hot Chilli Peppers already? I’m not sure how excited I am for holiday music in November. I think maybe I’d prefer it in December, maybe over the holidays.
