Wow, things have escalated a bit since I last checked in here. I don’t know if Gotch71 has ever had a genuine post, but at this point they’re just trying to piss you guys off. I understand wanting to defend the virtues of Slayer, but don’t the feed trolls. Just be happy the pack is almost here after all this waiting and try and tune out the nonsense. In the end, the fans of Slayer are the true winners, because they’re the ones that are getting packs they want. To everyone unsatisfied with the amount of metal packs, if you’re not submitting song requests and purchasing the DLC you support, then you have no one to blame but yourself for not getting the songs you want. Also, try to be realistic about the bands you want. If there isn’t enough mass appeal, the bands aren’t very guitar/bass centric, or the bands have a lot of legal hoops to jump through then you’re probably going to have to wait a long time. It’s not as easy to convince a band like ZZ Top to sell songs for $3 each as it is to convince a band like All That Remains.

I thought that the All That Remains dlc was a wasted opportunity, and I’m not interested in Slayer either. ATR sucks, imo, but Slayer certainly isn’t crap. Again, you don’t have to like them, but I absolutely understand why so many people are excited for Slayer dlc. Incredible guitar playing and wicked skills. Like em or not…mad respect. Not my cup of tea and obviously not yours either. Need to be an antagonistic, whiny asshole about it? Nope.

No one said that you have to like them. So you don’t like them, then guess what? Don’t buy the dlc and be happy that they are getting 5 packs from such big artists. Maybe one of your favorite artists is coming soon.

I’ll bet people, for the most part aren’t that upset with the dlc that’s been released. There’s a lot of awesome dlc (imo) that I’d love to pick up, but maxing out the old credit card is a bad move when something I really want may be right around the corner. So, I think we’d all agree that it would be very cool of the skilled and attractive Ubisoft Rocksmith team, if they had a killer sale on Xbox and playstation so we’d be even more in awe of their generosity and knack for giving the people something to strive for, and we, in turn, would indorse their product even more than we do, since we love it so much. *ego deflates*
Been playing the blues pack pretty much every day since release. Think more in that direction guys. Far, far too much metal in ROCKsmith.
I love metal (there isn’t as much metal in this as people seem to think, many in that list below are hard rock, not metal), but i do agree we need much more blues, rock ‘n roll, funk, and some jazz too.
I’m not into metal and therefore feel zero excitement/interest in DLC of this nature. I will say though that there really isn’t all that much of it on RS. You have Rock and Hard Rock. I think some folks are lumping all of that together and just calling it metal
I do agree with both you and Thom. The blues is in short supply. And looking at all of the post related to May’s Blues Pack, it seems a large number of us feel the same. Bring on more blues.

I’ve been playing Slayer riffs since I got my first guitar more than 20 years ago. It’ll be nice to finally learn to play the full songs correctly. I’m hoping for Seasons in the Abyss, Dead Skin Mask, South of Heaven, and Spirit in Black (and Reign in Blood). Haters can hate, but metal is a great workout for my guitar skills! I’ll still be excited for Jazzsmith, though.

I’m super excited for everyone that has been waiting patiently for Slayer, and I hope you have a blast. I will listen to Slayer here and there, but I generally don’t enjoy them. The guitar style sounds cool, just not something I enjoy playing. You guys have fun, and I get to save some money for next week! 🙂

because some album are seriously great from beginning to end and most of the times those artist are the best around for example Jailbreak , Ride the Lightning , Diary of a madman , this one you almost put all on Boston 1st lol , Painkiller , Pyromiania , Enema of the State , THUNDER SEVEN..sry for caps just passing throught a little of my album and there so much more but those are incredible , we dont need to think im one minded i love guitar sound with energy .. but im going far from the point that an a whole album would be just fun when they re doing one you got the same energy or ambiance in those song some band can take that for 2-3-4 album maybe more but that kinda rare . If you could for next christmas that could be very fun ,casting a vote 1 from 70 , 1 80 – 1 90 1 for over 2000 ( sorry i almost hate 80 to 90 % of music made over 2000. and in those for decade put one for metal hard rock and the other for the rest of style that where there im sure if they vote for the album they ll buy the dlc i got more question if you ever answer this: will the next rocksmith get a kinda of multiplayer online mode ( like rockband ) where you can play with anybody or any ps3 or xbox friend that would be nice playing with someone else sometime instead of always waiting for the opportunity to play with a friend / someone in your house could we have a leaderborads with all console pc included because i really wanna be the highest score on Carry on my wayward son and… Read more »
