CAMPBELL, CA – November 26, 2013 – Realta Entertainment Group and Experience Hendrix, L.L.C. announced today a multi-phased partnership that will bring the musical legacy of Jimi Hendrix to BandFuse: Rock Legends, the music video game where legendary rockers transform players into real world guitarists, bassists and vocalists.

I dont understand all the hate for bandfuse, I love Guitar, both RS and Bandfuse promote teaching Guitar. Sure they are different, but why the hate lol.

KingTessai

I don’t think the reason is here …
Personnaly, I think Activision is a pure non-creative company, they want a max of cash in for a non risk investment …
When they see that the riskful bet of UbiSoft with RockSmith1 is efficient, then they decided to “propose” a “new” teaching guitar game …

Don’t forget that Activison fire a lot of people, even if they are talented … (Bizarre Creations, because the game Blur don’t sell enough, even if the crticts are nice with it …)

BobbyKotick

We have no interest in a real guitar game. Our new Guitar Hero title in 2014 is what we are currently planning.

Dan

Fuckin’ Bandfuse?! If I wanted Hendrix tab I’d buy a Hendrix tab book for 15 quid! If I want to play hendrix songs in a fun and accessible computer game I guess I’ll have to dig out my dusty old copy of Guitar Hero World Tour. Or wait until they come to Rocksmith after no-on gives a shit about this game even after this announcement.

cringe

guys, when comparing RS2014 & BandFuse keep in mind that bandfuse was made by a indie studio with no where near the budget of rocksmith. I own both games and I feel that each game has its place.
Bandfuse is always recording your performances so you can hear yourself back which is a huge +1 for me. Also being able to completely get rid of the guitar track so all your hear is YOUR guitar is a great feature. I love both games.

lolololol

You should look into some of the backers and background of the CEOs of Realta… They have more than enough money. They consist of VCs, ex wallstreet, and hollywood executives.

Andrei

Realta is not really a small indie studio, as lolololol said. On the other hand, the people responsible for Rocksmith at Ubi is a small team with a limited budget. I think the budgets for the 2 games are probably in the same ballpark, I’d be surprised if there were a huge difference. But Rocksmith is in its second iteration, so they could just refine what they did in the first game, while Bandfuse is brand new.

I agree it’s good that both games exist, competition is good and so on.

Jake

You people with bandfuse need to post videos of all the songs and we don’t need to see you playing the guitar.

Andrei

DLC only in January. At least now I know I don’t need to rush to buy Bandfuse.

anthony

ill get bandfuse when i see it for less then 20 dollars. i hope rocksmith also gets hendrix along with some bigger exclusives

WonderWaage

Hmm… I guess it is really just up to Janie… Christ… Well, I’m hopin’ it’ll come to Rocksmith too. ’cause I’m not buying Bandfuse ever.

Mateo

nooooooooooooooooo, i want Jimi in Rocksmith!!

This is James

If this music is or was “available”, what was the issue with Ubisoft/Rocksmith persuing it?

Jed

You know, given Bandfuse’s many delays, ambiguous release dates, and miniscule impact on the media, I’d.say the first batch of Jimi DLC will come out in March, the next in June, and by then the game will fizzle out. It’s too bad, but for most it’s just too big an investment for something so new and experimental. People who want to learn guitar through a game either already have Rocksmith or are using Bandfuse to compare to Rocksmith. If the release had fewer (and smaller) hiccups, I would’ve bought the game day one in 2012.

Dyseman

To be honest, I was worried about Bandfuse initially because of all the delays. The to find out 1st DLC was 2 months after launch and monthly (theoretically) thereafter.

But I do like the Highway over Rocksmith’s. Although I can do both.

I hope they get in gear and at least do some Bi-Weekly

dave

Any word if this is exclusive? That’s the real question here.

armin1021

snail mail?

Jed

Are you guys planning on doing a review of Bandfuse? I can’t find any reputable review sites that have reviewed the game, so I’d like to see the stance you guys hold

Twistedsinz

I received my copy today. I played for a couple of hours, and for me to continue you playing bandfuse on a regular basis will all come down to the dlc they release for the game. IMO, In short; RS2014 is sooo much fun. Whereas Bandfuse is good but somewhat tedious.

Scott

How is RS2014 sooo much fun but BF is somewhat tedious?

lolololol

Because it’s just GP6 for consoles?

Scott

GP6 has original master tracks?

Twistedsinz

IMO, “Rocksmith is much more polished, less frustrating, and more fun to play. Actually, I didn’t find BandFuse fun to play at all. I tried to give it a solid chance and played it a few times, but it just does not get me excited to play guitar like Rocksmith does.”
Bandfuse does have some good qualities and if they release DLC that I like, I will continue to play it.

ginrog

Hopefully the other DLC will be songs not in Rocksmith. I love having 2 different games but I would like different songs.

Chris

Impressive. They learned from Rs1 experience that black keys and blink 182 dlc don’t exactly blow people away. Just a matter of time before they get GNR

charlie99

Doesn.t get much bigger than this. Really axecited(sorry) about bandfuse. Lovin rocksmith too though.

JaY

Fuck a Bandfuse!! we Need Hendrix on RS 2014..

armin1021

How much?

Grumble Volcano

I predict 13 singles and 2 popular non-singles which are already in RB:

Hey Joe*
Purple Haze
The Wind Cries Mary
Foxy Lady
Up From the Skies
All Along the Watchtower
Crosstown Traffic
Fire
Voodoo Child (Slight Return)*
Freedom
Angel
Gypsy Eyes
Dolly Dagger
Little Wing
Spanish Castle Magic

(* means live version)

James

Hope this mean RS is gonna pick it up DLC-wise

rurbaniak

Did Bandfuse just make the first mistake on paying a ton for licensing?

ginrog

Well played Bandfuse. If people needed an incentive greater than another guitar game(more the merrier) then I think this would be it.

Mike

Oh no, we can’t let Bandfuse win.

ROCKWARRIOR86

and we’re not gonna rocksmith bust out the aerosmith 5-pack! ❗

Osteofight

DLC starts 1/28/14. 10 songs a month. There is some bad news in that good news.

elemenohpenc

touché bandfuse, touché.
