Ready to rock out with the Crüe? Missing some tracks from them that you’d love to play? Let us know in the comments!
I agree…. not very interesting. I wish bass players had been thrown a bone with “rattlesnake shake”.
The fact that my favorite two crue songs didn’t make the pack and the frustration of trying to get the down tuned bass E string to register consistently kept me from enjoying this pack the way I should have. For example the first damned note of home sweet home has to be hit like 5 times to even get the sustain to register as “late”. Maybe guitar players or those using emulated bass don’t have this problem, idk but I’m sick of it. Great pack to play on your amp but not for score attack.
If thats the case, my guess would be your bass isn’t properly set up (I own a music store, I know my stuff…) or you have a bass with bright sounding pickups. Do your basic setup and then play with the pickup height. Remember this game isn’t going for tone, but signal. And to me it seems as if the game cant register the high frequencies well as noted by the fact that my Gibson firebird and Fender Jaguar Bass are my two issue instruments with their bright pickups. In fact, my bass in Drop C is the only instrument I own that registers 100% of the time with no missed notes whatsoever. My bass in Jag in E Standard has the hardest time registering notes, yet that same bass in Eb Standard registers a lot more frequently.
In for HSH.
this pack is perfect i waiting for mothey pack two 😀
Any opinions on the bass parts for this pack? I’m seriously considering it! ?
Well, not very interesting. Sixx is famous for his justice problem but not for their basslines. It really looks like all the bassists during the 80’s about Glam Rock/Metal, picked and just about rythm.
Im not even a bass player and Im interested to see the bass charts. I would have to think its a lot of rhythm work given the band doesn’t have a rhythm player and Mars did a lot of soloing.
I’ll try to rec the bass videos later on that day. Maybe TRR will choose them.
I played them yesterday and I can affirm that the bass parts are not interesting or if you’re a beginner, it’s good.
Pretty straight forward parts. Not much to catch you off guard
not a huge Motley Crue fan but i do enjoy 3 of the 5 songs so ill pick them up. Super eager to see what’s in store for the end of the year DLC as we got a 12 pack from Hendrix last year.
its stone temple pilots for end of year, already confirmed
After last weeks ‘joke’ band..,, This is good, Very good! Great end to the Rocksmith DLC year!
it ain’t over yet
Finally, i was waiting this pack since RS1, this is one of my favourites bands. It’s been a long time since i don’t play RS, I’M BACK!
did my part and requested more MC for a follow up pack
its the Same ol Situation……I give RS 3/5 on this selection…need another Crue 5 pack in 2016
its up now. I went through the motions of buying it individually. of course steam wouldn’t let me because I already own it, but this (or maybe just coincidence) seem to cause “kickstart…” to download. Hope its working for everyone else now ‘cuase these songs are every bit as fun as I had hoped. Blues rock, on overdrive in D just sounds sick. It makes me wonder why D standard isn’t even more popular. Ok, I have to crush a 750 of JD, tell the girly to put on some stilettos and get back to playing 😉 good luck
I usually don’t like hair metal but MC has fun riffs and good energy. A lot of their guitarwork is easily accessible, but still challenging enough to be rewarding. Should be a lot of fun. May just grab the whole pack. Bonus that it’s in D Standard!
ok thanks russell! I was scared it was only me^^
I have the same issue. Apparently, several others on the rocksmith forum as well. I have to believe they’ll get it resolved pretty soon
I just buy the song pack and kickstart my heart is missing from it. Am i the only one in this case ?
Great to have the Crue in the game. Could use a pack 2 next year, ditto for Megadeth and judas priest and iron maiden etc etc This will keep me busy over Xmas.
This pack is perfect! If you make a Crüe Pack II, Wild Side, Same Ol’ Situation, Live Wire, Smokin’ In the Boys Room and All In the Name Of… would be my humble requests.
Was wondering if there are any plans of bringing ZZ Top, Bob Seger, Ozzy, Collective Soul, Saliva, AC/DC, Metallica or Springsteen to the game? Just curious…Love this game!
Hopefully the next pack comes soon but has to have
Wild Side and
Live Wire
Sweeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!!!
I’ve never thought of myself as a Crüe fan, but these songs are great. They will be added to my library just after Tenacious D when Santa gives me a Steam card (hopefully).
Very happy with this pack. Personally, I’m not a big fan of Home Sweet Home, but hey. I’ll take what I can get. The Crue 2:
-Saint of Los Angeles
-Live Wire
-Same Ol’ Situation
-Too Young To Fall In Love
-Wild Side
It’s really sad to look at such band labeled with D standart. Don’t want it but skipping to save my strings. Need 2nd guitar for such stuff =(
This is my pack of the year! I love every song! Every song is great for lead, and it adds to my d standard library so I can stay in the tuning longer when playing the likes of volbeat, mastodon, BFMV. This a band I compare to GNR for being straight up rock with killer riffs and solos. Dj Ashba is one of my favorite guitarists as is slash.
All in all this pack will keep me busy for a long time!
Good pack, but I’d love to see some collective soul, goo goo dolls, econoline crush, and more Alice in Chains
Yay, now I can play all of my housekeeper/stripper’s favorite pole dancing hits!
I didn’t realise how much I loved Motley Crue until this pack included barely any of my favourites … oh well, there’s always pack II some day. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
Your comment makes no sense whatsoever.
More D Standard? Okay by me, there aren’t too many songs in RS in that tuning. The songs are decent, but I wanted Without You as well.
The tracks I’ve been waiting for!
But all in D? Ugh.
I have to work all day before even think to play
How ’bout, tool, a perfect circle, deftones ll, coheed and cambria, zz topp, metallica, etc. No offense, just not into hair metal. (Zz topp isnt hair metal… its beard metal so its fine)
how about
Wow, 5 pack.. Of lady boys, rs has gone to shit
You sure talk about crossdressers a lot, do you want to share something with us?
WOW truly amazing RS. I’ am blown away by this is epic pack and you got no complaints here.
Pack II:
Looks That Kill
Same Old Situation (S.O.S)
Live Wire
Too Young To Fall In Love
Without You
Add Wild Side to that wishlist (for a 6 pack of course) and we’d be best friends
Absolutely amazing, I’ve been waiting for this since I got Rocksmith 2014. Sorry friends and family, I’m cancelling Christmas!
Buying it for sure but really wanted “rattlesnake shake” and “smoking in the boys room” to be in there. I’m in for MC pack II already.
For what it’s worth- this pack is practically perfect for me, might even be my pack of the year. But I’ll be damned if I didn’t really want Saints of Los Angeles to make the pack.
That would have been my pick, if I could only pick one Motley Crue song
