Okay, I’ve got no problem with Rocksmith releasing a fair amount of pop tunes, if that’s where the money is. But Maroon 5? What freaking year is this? Who in the heck even listens to those guys?

Do you really think that if Ubisoft had data showing that metal DLC sells better, the company would just ignore the evidence and not release more metal DLC? Ubisoft knows how much each DLC sells, and they make decisions based on that. If you're seeing classic rock and recent pop-rock more than metal, you can bet that's what sells better. I think metal only sells well when it's well-known stuff like Metallica, but these bands are hard to get. They could probably release more DLC from lesser-known metal bands (they have a song from Lamb of God for sale) but they probably have hard data showing it is better to release a Maroon 5 DLC pack. Metal-heads always think that because they scream louder (get it?) they're in the majority.
