Rocksmith Remastered DLC 10/15/2019 “Metal Mix II”

Hello Rocksmith fans!

You voted Metal Mix, as one of the best Rocksmith Remastered releases of 2018, and clearly @UbisoftStudioSF heard you loud and clear!

This time, it’s a bit more accessible with genres such as Melodic Death, Groove, and Thrash metal!

Alright, so who is in?

Over the weekend we learned that @DeathOfficial would make their music game debut with their epic tech death song Crystal Mountain (Symbolic – 1995). Today we can confirm (via Xbox NZ) TWO other new artists joining the library!

Machine Head (@MfnH) joins the pack with a single off their debut album (Burn My Eyes – 1994) Davidian, this one has plenty of chugging riffs!

Finally, the time has come for the highly requested Finnish Power/Melodic Metal band, @cobhc with a single you should all be familiar with by now Are You Dead Yet? (2005).

@BestFenton shouldn’t have too much trouble with his sightread

Nice one @jparalove

Metal Mix II – $7.99 / Steam

Yeah, my bet is that Davidian has been pitch shifted a bit

So there you have it, the return of the might Metal Mix, and this time all the songs definitely rip on guitar and bass(I still love you Darkthrone, don’t worry). Are you excited for these THREE new bands to rip through your library? Or are you looking for something different next release? Let us know!

Burn my eyes is a classic album and Davidian always stood out. And sounded great closing out their live shows as well. I never clicked with CoB though. But 2 out of 3 isn’t bad. I had hoped this would be the first pack besides Chuck and GvF I’d buy this year, but Davidian is literally the “If I could only have one MH track” song. Plus it was one of my requests.

Solid. I don’t play in drop tunings that much but MH is worth it. Crystal mountain pick of the litter.

Lol of course I just changed my heavy gauge strings back to normal to play in E. Still will buy so I’ll have something waiting for me when I change strings again.

Well I am a tad disappointed on the other two choices but on the otherhand I understand why they’re chosen. Children of Bodom isn’t really my style but I remember jamming out to this song in High School, I’ll probably get it. I’m glad that it’s Machine Head’s older material I’m not as fond of their newer stuff. Allround great pack, hopefully in another year or less we will get Metal Mix III.

I remember Paul Cross teasing CofB years ago!

Davidian is def pitch shifted. That whole album is slightly sharp IIRC. I spun Burn My Eyes for the first time in years the other day. MH has some really solid records (and a few duds). Curious to see if Flynn will let the new-old members influence the next wave of material or if it’ll be more lame ass shit like Catharsis or that recent single he wrote without them.

Yeah, A450, I wanted Locust or any The blackening Song, but this is fine by now =)

Of course the irony of having Machine Head and Children of Bodom in the same is very cool. They had a disagreement when MH pushed their tour together back as they were not happy with their album and wanted to re-mix it to make it sound perfect. Good pack. Davidian is one of my favorite songs and I haven’t listened to any Death in a long time. Not the biggest COB fan, but it’s a good song.
