For real this time! You gotta love it when things leak early. It looks like next Tuesday’s DLC is going to be a 5 pack of tracks from legendary Britpop group The Beatles Oasis.
Historically, the Gallagher’s never quite got along, so getting Don’t Look Back in Anger was big for Rocksmith 2014’s disc, but now that we’re getting DLC as well…
Let’s take a look at what this Oasis pack MIGHT be:
1. Champagne Supernova
The leak explicitly mentions this song, so it’s practically a lock.
2. Wonderwall
Because let’s face it, we just simply need more beginner guitarists learning to play Wonderwall!
3. Supersonic
One of my personal favourite Oasis songs, featuring a great fuzzed out guitar riff. It was a blast to play in Rock Band and I’d imagine it’d be a blast on a real guitar.
4. Stand By Me
Not a lot of people liked Be Here Now when they looked back on it retrospectively. For the most part, I’d agree that it wasn’t their best effort (but hardly their worst), but one song has always stood out as a personal favourite. Stand By Me is just so… good.
5. Morning Glory
Elliott said I should include this one, and you know what, he’s right. This song is great.
So, there’s our predictions for the upcoming Oasis pack. Of course, it’s hard to pick only 5 for this pack, especially when you know you’re leaving out songs like Rock ‘n Roll Star, Live Forever and Some Might Say. What songs do you think will be included? Tell us in the comments!
Oasis sucks. How bout some real guitar like Jimi Hendrix, ACDC, Metallica, Skid Row, Bon Jovi, GnR, SRV. Oasis is crap guitar.

I love oasis but no doubt rs will choose the 5 worst songs.

I won’t be surprised (or disappointed) to see at least a couple picks off their last two albums. Seems to be the way Rocksmith picks things, spreading them out over old and new albums.
I’d say it should be hard for them to make a bad choice here, but I thought the same about Aerosmith.
My 5 Champagne Supernova, Supersonic, Acquiesce (amazing bside w/ great rhythm arrangement & lead guitar fills, Morning Glory & Lyla to add one of their later tunes. I learned guitar 20 years ago & could play Definitely Maybe & WTSMG all the way through at one point. Just started Rocksmith a few weeks ago after not playing in 10 years. Excited for this one.
My picks would be Wonderwall, Lyla, Roll With It, Little By Little, and Rock n Roll Star.
Really hope that Lyla makes it, that was the first Oasis song I ever heard and it’s still one of my favourites.
This seems to be another great hit for Rocksmith, my problem has been there selection of songs from the bands. I thought you couldn’t go wrong with any Aerosmith songs and they proved me wrong there. So I am hoping and wishing they get it together. Hope Rise Against comes sooner then later, can’t go wrong that band.

Hm. Halfway decent band, at least. I don’t know their work too well, but I’ll probably download on a song-by-song basis, if at all.

Wonderwall is played with a capo. AFAIK that would be a first in RS.

Although I hope they have a warning before you pay for the song, or there will be some pretty angry customers.
They could have a bonus arrangement that uses a Capo and have the Lead/Rhythm transposed.

Paint it Black also has an alternate lead played with a capo. (Sounds more accurate in my opinion, as well).

My pack would be Champagne Supernova, Wonderwall, Morning Glory, Supersonic and then Bring It On Down.
Bring It On Down is a harder song that has what would be a fun guitar part and sounds good.
Morning Glory the band would be pretty sweet 😉 but about as likely as eating a sandwich with Elvis.
Really excited about Oasis getting a 5 pack. Rocksmith has been doing an awesome job with the dlc so afar. I’m really hoping that Live Forever s one of the songs. 😀
I’d love it if they threw The Importance of Being Idle or Some Might Say in there but any Oasis is good Oasis

Yay Oasis. Champagne Supernova and Wonderwall are fun songs to play.

My 5… Champagne Supernova, Morning Glory, Some Might say, Supersonic, and Live Forever…. but 4 of these are on the same album so I think they will space things out a little.
I’ve always loved the song “She’s Electric”, but as that is more of just a b-side, I don’t think it will be on there
I predict the other 4 songs will be: Live Forever, Some Might Say, Wonderwall, Rock ‘n’ Roll Star. I would be very surprised if the pack contains any songs from after their first 2 albums.
I agree with Champagne Supernova, Morning Glory and Supersonic, they are a must.
I’d also like Live Forever but I’m not sure RS will pick it…

I would be so happy with a Tom Petty Pack , Running Down a Dream and Refugee deserve to be on Rocksmith.
