Song Speculation: Variety Pack XII brings Rusted Root to Rocksmith

Hello Rocksmith fans!

We were told that Variety Pack XII was coming, and here is the first song!

Let’s check out RollingStone222’s clue!

No hidden picture this week!

QuantumNiTE figured this one out

That fast?

Yup!

From Wikipedia:

“The song makes use of nonsense phrases such as “oombayseeyou” and “seemoobadeeyah”.[6] These were added on the grounds that they sounded good and felt right and use of a dictionary word would not have been an improvement.”

What else could be coming in this pack? Well the only thing we have to go on is things will heat up.

What follows is speculation

A brand new artist to Rocksmith and music games in general. Are you excited for this song, or are you hoping the other three deliver? Let us know!

  1. It appears we’re getting the solo acoustic version of “Down Under”. This is the first time I’ve heard this version and from a guitarist perspective it seems far superior to the original, although I would have enjoyed seeing the dijaredo charted.

    1. “It’s the Colin Hey 2012 version. I strongly suspect the legal issues around “Kookaburra” made the original unavaialble but I’m not entirely sure. Business as Usual was one of my favorite albums growing up and this rerecord passes muster.” – Dan

  2. Hey, let’s finally put Rusted Root in a game and, obviously, use the most overplayed and now annoying song in their catalogue. Okay, okay, but only if the first and only Flaming Lips song we use is “She Don’t Use Jelly” for the same reason. Cool.

    1. Lol overplayed you mean like from 1995 I bet most people under 30 don’t even know this song or band. I hope butthole surfers pepper makes it in next pack

  3. Honestly, you say Rusted Root as an artist and “Send Me On My Way” is the first song that comes to mind anyways.

  4. Ode to gibberish lyrics that fit the song…… “Got my bbbbrrrrrr Workin'” – Muddy Waters (Got My Mojo Workin’)

Never heard of this band; however, it sounds like something new worth trying.
