Speculation: Rocksmith Newsletter hints at April DLC

Hello Rocksmith fans!

This month’s newsletter clues sure came early!

Well we know one of them for sure…

some metal that’s right on target

That obviously is referring to Zakk Wylde’s signature guitar!

Head back here on Monday night to find out what three songs await you in the Black Label Society Song Pack.

something indestructible

Ok, well the obvious guess would be this…

Disturbed II Song Pack?

A more interesting guess would be that it’s hinting at Diamonds. So what if it’s a singles pack based around the theme of diamonds?

C’mon!

An 80’s flashback

This could be pretty much anything, the safe bet is another mixed singles pack of songs from the 80’s, but what if it’s a literal 80’s flash?

What are you hoping to see come this month based on the hints? Are you excited? Let us know!

Maybe Gojira for indestructible. You can’t destroy Godzilla!!

Scoobs

I highly doubt it but I would love it if that Indestructible clue had something to do with Matthew Good.

Just Dave

I think I am just going to say Woo Hoo. Wish they would get a Hell Yeah! Pack. That would be awesome as well. I am astounded by the 80’s 90’s bashing…but then I realized that was how I felt about the 50’s and 60’s for a long time. It is the our parents burnt me out on the this is real music right here effect. If you examine that previous sentence to make grammatical sense of it, I offer my sympathy. BLS day…here goes.

BlueCollarNINJA

I’m going steel panther for both something indestructible and 80’s flashback.

Rhett

Quarterflash for the 80s flashback. 😛

listentolicker

Indestructible = Neil Diamond?

Rich

Talking Heads would be awesome. Nothing But Flowers would be an epic addition (and has been requested).

St3

Disturbed 2 would be sweet. Hopefully the Pixies for the 80’s flashback. I need more Pixies.

Fender bender

The only queen needed is WE WILL ROCK YOU!

WonderWaage

Have you not played Rock Band? The bass and guitar is literally playing along all the time. Brian May is using a pedal that make his guitar sound like claps and stomps

elemenohpe

IF WE GET A DISTURBED II PACK I”M GOING TO TEXT THE WHOLE TIME /draiman

kymm puckeridge

Zakk Wylde… Finally something I won’t be embarrassed if someone else saw me playing, and more 80’s… These guys do realise that the 80’s was 30 years ago and shit right? Let the fucking 80’s just die already

Wisenheimer

I agree, we need more stuff from the 60’s and 70’s xD

Rjaravenheart

Ooh and some jazz from the golden age! Chuck in a bit of 30s music hall as well! Lol!

Maxime

It hes refering target to zakk wylde and by some might mean other than black labels society if we get road to nowhere or almost anything on no more tears this one is instabuy

Kramer

More 80’s, just what this game doesn’t need.

Rjaravenheart

We could go to the golden age of rock? The nineties, and put Bryan Adams in every week for 4 months?
Or just don’t buy it when it comes out?

Kramer

That’s a joke right? There are a ton of great 90’s bands, this game does a poor job of showing them. No Nirvana pack at this point is just unacceptable. But hey, they got Collective Soul, spent good money on Imagine Dragons I’m sure.

firekorn

There’s already 6 nirvana song available (one 3 pack DLC for RS, 2 on disc in RS and 1 on disc in RS2014)
But hey let’s throw band that already have some songs available instead of actual no shows in the game 😉

chris

there are 3 nirvana songs in total. 2 from first RS and 1 from current version. What imaginary world had a dlc pack?

firekorn

I don’t know, got carried away in a comment frenzy today… it’s never good ❗

Don46121

We agree to disagree. There are still a number of bands that were noteworthy in the 80s whose music would be fun to play:
G-N-R
INXS
Pretenders
ZZ Top
Whitesnake
Talking Heads
Journey
U2
AC/DC
Van Halen
Granted, we won’t see some (most) of these, but let’s limit the blanket statements as musical preference is unique to each of us. Don’t like it, don’t buy it…pretty simple

YYZ

Metal: Zakk Wylde

80’s Flashback: Talking Heads (Pretty Please? Born Under Punches, This Must Be The Place, Road To Nowhere, Life During Wartime, Once In A Lifetime)

Indestructible: ???
