Speculation: Rocksmith Newsletter hints at November DLC

Hello Rocksmith fans!

Looks like the newsletter hit inboxes today which means we have a few hints pointing at what’s in store for this month of Rocksmith DLC!

Jungle cats

Hmm, like a “Street Walking Cheetah,” or perhaps…

a time capsule from the mid-80s

Can we get this one? Outkast seemed to be well received!

Would love some more boingo

The bass line will surprise you…

A man in a hat

Can a Bucket be a hat?

Or maybe…

Those are a few of our speculative guesses, what do YOU think is coming this month? Let us know in the comments below.

  1. “…and a man in a hat” First thing that comes to my mind in about 1 millisecond for me was SLASH!!! Maybe, just maybe it is time for Guns and Roses????

  2. i really hope the man in the hat is either buckethead or SRV. so many good, rockin, bluesy tunes to choose from from those!!

  3. Great call on that Run DMC. Really desperately need more HipHop on here. Curious, who played guitar on King of Rock? Was wondering if it was the same guy who played on No Sleep Till Brooklyn. (Was that Kerry King?)

  4. Wow, “Man in the Hat”. That could be so many. Of course the first that comes to mind is the “Cat in the Hat” Mr. Saul Hudson. Going down the line we could say John Lee Hooker (or one his musical children) Carlos Santana–both of whom are always seen capped.

There’s also Sir Billy F. Gibbons
I recall from last year we’re still missing a few essential tracks from both Tom Petty, and Rage Against the Machine (Tom Morello)

    Lastly, and MOST IMPORTANTLY,

My favorite vote for “man in the hat” ……simply known as S. R. V.

The DLC has been kind of boring for me through most of 2016. Listen Ubisoft, Come On, May I Have a Talk With You? It’s Time to Change It. The House is Rockin’ and I’m ready to welcome the Texas Flood into these Empty Arms. Show your Pride and Joy and get Stevie on Rocksmith.

  5. The first thing that comes to mind with the man in the hat is jamiroquai. But it might just be because I play mostly bass.

  6. ‘A time capsule from the mid-80’s…’ Could.that be something related to the movie ‘Back to the Future?’ ‘Johnny B Goode’ maybe?

  7. I’m more curious about December’s line up. Anybody think we will cross off a top requested artist this year

        1. This is like deja vu. I threw a GnR blurb out there, got a “Probably Not” and followed up with “a man can dream.” 🙂 I’m sure it won’t happen as well, but it’s at least nice to see others have the same dream.

          1. Everybody is dreaming the GnR dream my friend. But that band is insane to license. I will say that Welcome to the Jungle just appeared in a shitty CoD trailer. So I will say, to Elliott’s dismay, that it’s real possibility
