Hello Rocksmith fans!
Welcome to February, tomorrow will be the first song drop of the month, and Friday gave us a little window in what is still to come up till June!
Let’s start with what they are outright telling us is coming…
We already knew 3/5 of these were coming…
December 2023
Could we be getting a full album from Oasis this month? Or perhaps it’s just the DLC we had in 2014 in addition to Don’t Look Back in Anger.
Chainsmokers should be a given…
Now, as for Deftones, that drop just got a whole lot more interesting… Pictured in that screenshot from the video above you can see that there are five albums featured, could it be another massive drop like we got from Paramore? We could be seeing at least 10-20 songs!
Songs already in 2014? The on disc My Own Summer and the DLC song pack featuring “Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)”, “Change (In the House of Flies)”, “Digital Bath” and “Hole in the Earth”
Disturburbed is similar showing five albums as well. We had eight songs in Rocksmith 2014 DLC (spread across two packs) and much like Deftones, we already have a song in game
finally we get to Foreigner, which if charted correctly could be one of the better piano drops since Coldplay! We are looking at three albums and previously our Foreigner material gave us a total of five songs in Rocksmith 2014 DLC.
Alright! Next slide:
Look at that, we are getting content from Barenaked Ladies FINALLY after 13 years!
Albums in trailer:
- Maroon
- Greatest Hits
- Stunt
- Gordon
- Barenaked for the Holidays
That’s a lot of nudity!
Next up we have Incubus which have been in Rocksmith since their first DLC in Rocksmith, and then their reappearance in a second DLC pack for Rocksmith 2014.
Albums in trailer:
- Enjoy
- Morning View
- Light Grenades
- Make Yourself
- Monuments and Melodies (Greatest Hits)
Here’s a big one (and a terrifying one for Piano) it’s Dream Theater, who had three songs via a DLC pack in Rocksmith 2014!
A lot of albums being shown here:
- Images and Words
- Metropolis
- Train of Thought
- Black Clouds and Silver Linings
- Self Titled (2013)
- Octavarium
That’s a lot of prog!
We also noticed Metallica is there, but we just got seven tracks? Are we about to get another seven? Are we getting Ride The Lightning?!
The other artists being shown would be:
- Laufey (an icelandic pop jazz singer with a huge following) showing two albums
- Van Morrison (Moondance plz)
- Royal Blood (previously on Rocksmith 2014 DLC with a three song pack)
- Kaleo (previously on Rocksmith 2014 DLC with a three song pack)
- Green Day showing American Idiot artwork, could that mean Jesus of Suburbia is still coming?
Exciting stuff!
Guess what else we are getting? More covers!
Hey, I’ll take a Sublime cover (as long as it’s not Santeria).
For those wondering about region locks, this was mentioned on the r/rocksmith subreddit:
Thanks Lauren!
As a result of the Grateful Dead (cover) being included, there was an interesting comment from Anthony Martinez
Welcome to the uhh new NEW song release cadence for 2024!
Ahh yes the long awaited Roadmap!

Wish it was on PC as well…
Fullscreen TAB View

Sheet Music Improvements
Yes, the Piano implementation for this needs… Work.
Onboarding Challenges
Your guess is as good as ours, but one assumption might be making Ubisoft Connect function properly and stop preventing people from subscribing or sometimes even launching the game… Fingers crossed…
April
Usability Improvements
We should hope so…
May
New Song Queues
Incredibly vague
June
New Platforms
Is it finally happening? Are we getting current gen console (PS5/XSX/XSS) access to Rocksmith+ ? Or could a MacOS version be in the works? Exciting, and maybe it might be a good idea to subscribe before the March 5th price increase.

I was hoping to see something about the tone designer in the roadmap. Is that still “beta” or did it release already and I missed it? that’s a feature I was missing a lot from RS2014 in RS+. It was really cool in RS2014 being able to hit 1-4 on the number pad and switch guitar tone mid song.
Looks like lots of music I’d be interested in is coming soon. I wish soo much content wasn’t getting region locked, guess I’ll wait and see what ends up being available in the US. I think the price hike is going to be a tough sell for people on the fence about RS+.
“New Platforms” is good and all, but feels weird for them to be vague about it. I wouldn’t be surprised if this actually meant it’s getting a steam or epic games store release. But hopefully it’s the console versions.

Still in beta, and still no way to switch tones.
I hope it won’t have shirt pricing on my country, as most things do…
That mobile experience sounds good, though naming it free kinda sounds like “sugar free”, as in without xD
